Frequently Asked Questions

Can we get a room block for people who would like to stay overnight?

Absolutely! If you know your group will book a minimum of 10 different accommodations, we would be happy to offer a group discount and create a room block for you. This way each person can call in on their own and book their reservation under the group name.

Can we include their meal costs and activities in the room block?

Yes, we can create an all-inclusive accommodation package that would include their banquet meal costs and activities. We do require a minimum of 20 accommodations in order to create this package. This also allows for each individual to call in on their own and reserve their package.

What information do you need to create a custom package for our reunion?

To create this package we will need the following information:

  • Number of accommodations needed
  • Type of accommodations your group is interested in
  • Activities to be included in the package
  • Any meals including banquets you would like included – click HERE to see our catering menu
  • Number of nights you are interested in
  • Estimated budget (per night/per family)
  • Anticipated banquet space (if having a banquet)

We have several babies and small children, are they the same price?

All children ages 3 years and under are no charge for meals and activities.

Can we have a banquet meal for our Reunion?

Yes, we have several different banquet rooms that are available for reunions from 25 people up to 300 people.

Is it possible for each person attending the Banquet to pay for their meal the night of our event?

Our food and beverage staff will need to know a final head count at least one week prior to the event, and we do require payment in full at that time. This is due to the needs of ordering and preparing the right amount of meals, as well as the set up of tables and chairs. For a group banquet we cannot process individual payments. Most groups have a checking account set up where the organizer accepts the payments from each person attending, and will in turn pay the balance due to Double JJ Resort.

Can we bring in our own catering company and alcohol?

Due to our state catering and liquor licenses we cannot allow any outside food and beverages to be brought into our banquet rooms. You may bring in your own cake if it is purchased through a licensed bakery. Cake cutting and plates are provided by Double JJ Resort at an additional cost.

Do you offer a Cash Bar option?

Yes, many reunions choose this option for their event. There is a one-time bartender fee for the cash bar. We also offer a per-person hosted bar option. We have a few different packages available if you are interested in a hosted bar.

Can we bring in our own music or do we have to use a DJ from Double JJ Resort?

You are more than welcome to bring in your own music or outside DJ company. We do have DJs on staff if you prefer to add on our DJ service.

How do we know how much to charge each person to make sure we cover all our costs?

We can create a per-person package that will include all taxes, service fee, room rental, etc. A customized package can include anything your group is looking for, including any activities, lodging, etc.

What do we need to reserve our banquet space?

We will prepare a letter of agreement for you. The booking will be secured once the agreement and deposit is returned. We will place the booking on a tentative status for 7 days to allow time for these items to be returned.

When will you need another payment?

Typically for a large group we require 80% of the estimated balance to be paid 90 days prior to your event. Your final payment will be due one to two weeks prior to your event.

What are your service fees and taxes for banquets?

The taxes on all banquets will be the 6% sales tax and our service fee is 20%, which covers gratuity for our banquet staff.
