Kids' Corral Lessons

Corral Lessons are 40-minute teaching sessions with the riding staff that allow children to learn the basics of walking, trotting and cantering a horse. Corral lessons are $35 per person.

Children who need more instruction than what can be provided in a group setting should consider purchasing private or semi-private lessons.

Rough Rider

A walking lesson for children ages 5 - 7 that are too young or small to participate in a full Corral Lesson. Children will have approximately 20 minutes of ride time and a 20-minute fun activity in the corral.

Trail Blazer:

Learn to walk and stop a horse, control the horse appropriately for a trail ride, and direct the horse in any direction (left, right, forward and backward). When these skills are mastered, the child is able to go on Beginner trail rides.

Top Hand

Learn to trot a horse, stop correctly from all speeds, and direct a horse in complete circles. When these skills are mastered, the child is able to go on Intermediate trail rides.

Wrangler

Master a walk, trot, and canter, and maintain excellent control over a horse. When these skills are mastered, child is able to go on Canter trail rides.

Private Lessons

Private lessons for adults and children are available in English and Western riding skills, as well as other riding skills (jumping, barrels, poles, etc.). Private lessons are priced per person per hour but we do offer discounts when more than one person is participating.
